Dear Parents/Carers

We are excited to welcome all pupils back to school on Wednesday 2nd September. We have been working hard to ensure the safety of students, staff and their families at all times. We are working within the guidelines set out by the DFE, to ensure the school site and daily routines are as Covid secure as possible. The school day will run as usual from 8:50am to 3:10pm. We would like only 1 parent/carer from each family to bring and collect each pupil to minimise the number of pupils around the school site. Additionally, we are requesting that all parents adhere to social distancing rules when dropping off and collecting pupils. At present, we are not welcoming visitors onto school site and therefore if you need to speak to anyone please give us a call, or drop us an email in the first instance. Pupils are required to attend in full school uniform. All uniform should be labelled, including outdoor coats. If pupils are eating packed lunches provided from home, all packaging should be disposable. We suggest sending packed lunches in a labelled carrier bag. Do not send your child with school bags, pencil cases or lunch boxes. All equipment will be provided. If anyone in your household exhibits any symptoms of Covid-19 please stay at home and contact school immediately.

Many Thanks

Welcome to Castle

Castle is a successful 7 – 18 special school for pupils who have an Education, Health and Care plan. The school is designated for pupils with moderate learning difficulties; however, the majority of pupils have additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties and some behavioural issues.

All pupils are taught in small classes, the majority of which have teaching assistants, in addition to the teacher. We follow the Team Teach behaviour management system.
